A Story about Susan

V8 Vegetable Juice

Brown the hamburger. Form into loaves. Takes about 45 minutes to cook.

Clutter and Hoarding - Self Liking and Personal ability

Well, now Susan's very talented in writing and researching. But, when it comes to cooking, well, she relies on following a recipe's instructions closely. So, she started browning the hamburger in the skillet. After the burger was cooked, Then she added the spices, the scrambled egg, the cracker crumbs and the V8 juice. But she couldn't get it to form into a loaf!

After cooking it for about 4 hours, it looked nothing Like meatloaf. In fact Susan conception out loud, "This looks like dry dog food." Well, it was So dry that when she set it with some vegetables on the evening meal table, her husband took one bite and said, "I can't eat this." Susan took a bite and said, "Neither can I."

So, she dumped the meat over the fence to the neighbor's dogs as she had done some times in the past. But this time, even the dogs refused it. Poor Susan! Her best cooking efforts turned away even by dogs!

Then she and her husband worked out ways to perform the cooking, with him cooking sometimes, she cooking definite dishes, and also going out.

How Susan Approves Of Herself No Matter What Task She Does

But, Susan learned long ago that her personal value is priceless. Period. When she discovers some skill she is able to do, she feels happy about being able to do that skill And she feels happy about herself. She is very happy with her writing skills.

And, when she discovers some skill she is Unable to do, she says in her mind or out loud sometimes, "I like who I am. And, I see that I am more talented at writing compared with cooking...and that's okay with me."

Now why do you suppose she does this for herself? Because she cares for herself. When you care about yourself, you say something nice about you to you. Susan celebrates her life by liking herself instead of hoarding thoughts of dislike when she sees some inability in her behavior.
