1 pound ground beef
A 16 oz can pinto beans
A 32 oz can crushed tomatoes
2 green bell pepper [chopped]
1 large onion [diced]
6 oz. V-8 juice
2 tbsp. Tablespoon Tabasco sauce
2 tbsp. Tablespoon chili powder
2 tbsp. Tablespoon salt
1 Tbsp. Tablespoon black pepper
1 small can tomato sauce
V8 Juice
In alarge skillet brown the meat and leave. Set the meat aside in a colander with paper towels to absorb grease. Add a tablespoon of oil in the pan and fry the diced peppers and onions until soft. Add beans, beef, tomato sauce, tomato paste, V8, and all dried spices. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat fire. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Add Tabasco and cook another 5 minutes. Serve chili in bowls with saltines. Top with grated Monterey Jack cheese, ifdesired.
